About Colla Health

We help people with severe physical health conditions improve their quality of life. Today, we provide behavioral healthcare to the 17 million cancer patients in the US as an extension of their medical treatment.

One out of every three cancer patients has a diagnosed mental health condition but only 25% of them receive treatment for their mental health challenges, exacerbating quality of life, worsening health outcomes, and increasing their total cost of care to the system. We are on a mission to provide relevant, accessible behavioral health at the point of care that is embedded within a patient's oncology practice. We are backed by a premier venture capital firm and are building a world-class team of clinicians, technologists, and healthcare operations builders passionate about helping cancer patients improve their quality of life.

We are building a behavioral health services and technology company to support patients' mental health alongside their physical health treatment plans. Our first offering will deploy a virtual mental health offering using Collaborative Care, an evidence-based behavioral health care model. We will scale this virtual care model using technology, and build the foundations to build outcomes based data models focused on value based care. Our company site is here.

About The Role

As the first product hire of Colla Health, you will play a critical role in shaping the product strategy, defining the roadmap, and launching the company's first MVP. You will lead decision making and have ownership over implementation of tools, data workflows, and own the digital patient experience.

This role will report to the CEO, be part of the founding team, and work in partnership with operations and clinical leaders, and help drive pace and quality of decision making with our engineering team.

What You'll Do

  • Be a member of the founding team, owning the creation and management of the product roadmap, product strategy, and vision of a unique virtual behavioral model in the oncology setting
  • Own product strategy and work collaboratively with clinical and and operations teams to build out EMR workflows and integrations
  • Own overall success of the product organization by inspiring trust, fostering interactions, valuing idea sharing, and creating transparency through OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) that contribute to the overall success of the company's culture and growth
  • Manage the product organization's budget; inform build vs buy technology decisions
  • Assist with B2B sales efforts by serving as a product evangelist for key leads during the sales cycle
  • Analyze, onboard and manage technology vendors to build out the initial product offering, including contractors & software licenses

About You

  • 5+ years of experience managing and developing health tech products, preferably with Electronic Health Records (EHR) / Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, and/or healthcare billing systems
  • You have experience making buy vs build decisions to provide an exceptional user experience
  • You have interoperability / FHIR standards / EMR data integrations experience
  • Understanding of how to use APIs to integrate data from 3rd party resources into one well executed user experience
  • You have an entrepreneurial sense of ownership of the success of a product with full accountability of outcomes
  • You have a passion and experience building 0-1 products and integrating with third party backend systems
  • You are a fast learner that can synthesize ideas, information, and options into a strategy or plan and effectively communicate it
  • Ability to operate and succeed in ambiguity

What We'll Offer

  • Equity included in compensation package
  • Medical, dental, vision benefits
  • Flexible PTO
  • World-class start-up incubation platform
