We will count on you to:

Architect, Design, and development of Data Pipelines

  • Lead a team of data engineers in the design, development, and implementation of ETL processes using Qlik, Talend, and Databricks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for ETL workflows.
  • Design and optimize data models, data pipelines, and data integration processes to ensure efficient and reliable data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Develop and maintain ETL workflows, scripts, and jobs using Qlik, Talend, and Databricks.
  • Perform data profiling, data cleansing, and data quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Implement best practices and standards for data engineering, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability of ETL solutions.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and ETL tools and evaluate their potential impact on our data infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Platform administration - As the Data Platform Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of our data platform, ensuring its optimal performance, reliability, and security.

  • Administer and maintain the Qlik Talend data platforms, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the data platform, ensuring efficient data processing and query execution.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data, including user access controls, data encryption, and data masking.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the data platform, working closely with technical support teams and vendors.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data integration workflows using Qlik Talend and Databricks.
  • Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data availability and integrity.
  • Monitor system logs and alerts to proactively identify and address potential issues or bottlenecks.
  • Stay up to date with the latest features and enhancements of Qlik and Talend and evaluate their potential impact on our data platform.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to end-users, assisting them with data platform-related queries and issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and provide recommendations for data platform improvements.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation.

What you need to have:

  • University Degree - BS in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Over 10 years of relevant work experience in Data integration ETL development, Data structure Design, Architecture and Governance.
  • Programming Languages: Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala can be advantageous for scripting, automation, and custom ETL development.
  • ETL Tools: Proficiency in using popular ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, IBM DataStage, or Microsoft SSIS. Experience with other tools like Qlik, Apache NiFi, or Apache Airflow may also be beneficial.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud-based data platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud can be advantageous, as organizations increasingly adopt cloud-based data integration solutions.
  • Data Quality and Governance: Understanding of data quality principles and experience with data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation techniques. Knowledge of data governance frameworks and practices is desirable.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking are crucial for troubleshooting ETL issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring data accuracy

Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $133,800 to $267,500.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
