About the Role

Fidelity TalentSource LLC is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Data Center Operations Team, you will be responsible for providing implementation and support services for our test lab across various platforms, including telephony, network infrastructure, server hardware, and storage devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementation and Support: Provide implementation and support services for our test lab, including installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of IT equipment.
  • Network and Server Installation: Install and configure network and server infrastructure, including cabling, labeling, and testing.
  • Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues across multiple communication platforms.
  • Critical Space Planning: Ensure proper placement of IT equipment based on environmental factors and IT dependencies.
  • Change and Incident Management: Coordinate change and incident management activities, including asset management and inventory control.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with critical EI partners and facility engineering to ensure timely delivery of IT equipment and infrastructure.
  • Asset Management: Track and document all IT assets in CMDB tools throughout the device lifecycle.
  • Physical Layer Telecom Connectivity: Manage physical layer telecom connectivity and structured cable plant design.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in data center infrastructure support and implementation.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of structured cabling concepts and practices, TCP/IP networking protocols, WAN, LAN, SAN, and voice technologies.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and writing skills, good interpersonal skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
