Human Resources Administrative Assistant - Certified Staff REPORTS TO:

Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources EMPLOYEE TYPE:

Class I/Nonexempt ESSENTIAL TASKS:

In order to meet the District's goals to support all employees, the Human Resources Administrative Assistant will perform the following functions for Certified Staff:
Process new employees through onboarding procedures and facilitate background checks oCreate new employees' Frontline accounts used for onboarding oAudit and export salaries oUpdate evaluation lists oFacilitate GCN tutorials oRun, audit, and submit IL ELRA report for GEA oOversee teachers' tenure status and send teachers tenure letters oCreate dismissal lists and letters for part-time teachers oCreate and issue annual administrator contracts oPrepare and issue paperwork and professional development hours for new teacher orientations, new teacher institute, and new teacher induction sessions oOversee lane advancement for teachers in graduate programs oSubmit EIS data in conjunction with the Human Resources Coordinator oProcess NIU tuition waivers oRespond to requests for former employees' Employment History Reviews (EHR) and review new employees' EHRs oFacilitate life event cards (condolences; congratulations) oMaintain employee movement on the wall oRemove job postings from the Kane County Human Resources Consortium website as positions are filled oPrepare materials for job fairs Additionally, the Human Resources Administrative Assistant will perform the following functions:
oCreate the HR Personnel Report and letters from the Board of Education oCreate and issue district ID badges oIn conjunction with the HR Administrative Assistant-Classified Staff, maintain stipend spreadsheets, enter stipend data, and create stipend contracts with HR Team oAnnually verify National Board certification for teachers receiving the National Board stipend oFacilitate Skyward yearend rollover in conjunction with HR team oIn conjunction with the Human Resources team, update information related to Senate Bill 7 oPerform clerical duties, including filing and scanning Remains free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substances in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District oPerforms other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of the District's HRIS software PC literacy and experience with MS Office applications Excellent organizational and time-management skills Teamwork skills Ability to operate general office equipment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidential information PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Job Type:
