Accountants at RAYUS Radiology are exposed to many specific areas of accounting including month-end close, fixed assets and depreciation, purchase accounting via acquisitions, preparing pro-formas for growth initiatives, market budgets and ad-hoc analysis to assist market leaders, and financial reviews with board members. The accounting team at RAYUS Radiology is a diverse group of accounting professionals fostering continuous learning, employee appreciation and promoting an inclusive culture. Successful associates may experience a high level of career growth within the accounting department or branch off into other areas of this growing company including, but not limited to, Treasury, Revenue Center Management, Business Development and Financial Analyst roles.

JOB SUMMARY: Under mentoring, coaching and training, this role is responsible for performing accounting-related activities as assigned. Performs month-end close duties, prepares and reconciles financial statements, prepares audit and budget schedules. This job may be performed remotely anywhere within the continental United States. This is a full-time remote position, Monday- Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compile and analyze information to prepare journal entries to general ledger accounts
  • Perform timely and accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Ensure accounting activity for assigned area(s) is recorded accurately and timely
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements
  • Assist in the year end audit
  • Participate in the annual budget process
  • Research standard accounting transactions (invoice retrieval, inquiry of operations team)
  • Participate in monthly financial review call with Operations
  • Monitor progress on capital projects and spend

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES) REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures of GAAP
  • Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols, including HIPAA
  • Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion
  • Skill in written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage schedule to meet established deadlines
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change
  • Ability to effectively handle details with accuracy

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Proficiency in Excel

Preferred:

  • One year of relevant experience or an internship
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains software
