Accountant I

The Accountant I position will be responsible for preparing monthly accounting journals for cost allocation, partner billings, and accruals; JIB invoice processing and related ad hoc analysis; and other tasks assigned. The position will entail developing a well-rounded knowledge of the Company's operations, cost accounting processes and systems, and COPAS accounting guidelines with particular emphasis on joint interest billing, overhead calculation, and cost allocation requirements.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred. A business degree in a related field will be considered, must have at least 18 hours of approved accounting courses. Must possess good analytical, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills. Requires intermediate skill level in Excel. Must have a good work ethic, be accurate, dependable and detail oriented. Must be self-motivated, team player, comfortable working under pressure, possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with various offices and departments. Knowledge of AS/400 system a plus.

Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
