Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves investigating insurance claim rejections, assessing the legitimacy of claims, and, when warranted, modifying and resubmitting claims through various channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Investigates claim denials, analyzes, and reprocesses claims as needed to ensure optimal payment accuracy and minimize accounts receivable days.
  • Engages with the Business Office or clinical personnel regarding coverage issues and claim denials when necessary.
  • Maintains aged accounts receivable to remain under 120 days.
  • Upholds a strong commitment to integrity and precision in claims processing.
  • Performs additional tasks as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Preferred: One year of experience in insurance billing and claims analysis.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on business-related subjects.
  • Proficient in ten-key, computer/data entry, spreadsheets, and word processing applications.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
