Who you are:

As a Training and Development Specialist for Johns Hopkins Health Plans (JHHP), you will conduct training sessions, both virtual and onsite, for JHHP clinical and non-clinical staff. You are passionate when it comes to training and have the superior communication skills to deliver information effectively, both orally and in writing. You have experience in developing training manuals and lesson plans for training programs. You are a self-starter that is always looking to improve processes while furthering the mission of our organization.

This a hybrid role requiring you to come into the Hanover, MD office once a week (Wednesdays).

What you'll do:

  • Conduct training sessions, both virtual and onsite, for JHHP clinical and non-clinical staff using written materials, oral presentations, and audio-visual equipment to assist groups in development of role-specific skills
  • Assist in the development of training programs that reflect the needs of the organization
  • Partner with Training and Development team members, SMEs, and others to revise training programs based on evaluations and assessments
  • Analyze and evaluate training programs for impact and effectiveness
  • Assist in design of training and non-training interventions to address performance gaps

What you'll bring:

  • 1+ years' progressively responsible experience in a training role
    • Experience with virtual training preferred
    • Classroom setting preferred
    • Managed care preferred
  • Knowledge of adult learning concepts
