Tactical Training Specialist Job Description

Camp Lejeune, NC

The Tactical Training Specialist is a key member of the Corps Solutions team, responsible for providing expert training and operational planning support to our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of Marine Corps planning processes, intelligence training, and tactical operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the integration of emerging tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) into training programs.
  • Provide functional knowledge of intelligence enablers and systems to support optimal incorporation.
  • Understand and articulate the operational applicability of intelligence functions for optimal use and integration.
  • Facilitate the 8-step Training and Exercise Design and Development Process.
  • Develop training material to support Unit Commanders in meeting their fundamental home station training objectives.
  • Develop Training Event Execution Guides (TEEG), Master Scenario Event Lists (MSEL), and scenario threads.
  • Participate in unit-sponsored Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and training cadre planning.
  • Develop exercise control concept documents and briefings.
  • Develop and deliver briefing and reports analyzing unit tasks, training objectives, and unit Core and Assigned METs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Marine Corps Command and Staff College preferred.
  • Minimum of ten years' military experience; Marine Corps or U.S. Army.
  • Regiment, Group, Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) or Major Subordinate Command (MSC) level operational planning experience.
  • Current operational experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Marine Littoral Regiment (MLR) concept.
Core Skills/Competencies:
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understand the MAGTF concept for training MSCs.
  • Understand Marine Corps Instructional Systems Design/Systems Approach to Training and Education.
  • Established involvement in Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP).
  • Proven experience communicating and coordinating with Battalion (+) level leadership.
Working Conditions:
  • Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required.
Security Clearance:
  • A Secret security clearance is required for this position.
