\tDescriptionCorteva Agriscience is seeking a motivated Research Scientist to support the Biologicals and Disease Management groups within Biologicals Biology and Field Sciences (BBFS) at our Indianapolis research and development facility. The candidate will contribute to ongoing projects and conduct innovative research on biofungicides to discover, develop, and advance novel biological solutions in our biologicals pipeline. Responsibilities will include product characterization for projects in the Biologicals Discovery phase.\r

\tResponsibilities:

What You Will Do:

  • Optimize and execute current biofungicide screening assays.\r
\r
\t
  • Utilize demonstrated expertise in biologicals to lead the characterization and advancement of novel molecules or technologies within the discovery and development pipeline.\r
\r
\t
  • Lead design, development, and execution of innovative assay capabilities for biofungicides for use in row and specialty crops.\r
\r
\t
  • Contribute to all aspects of experiments, including providing technical expertise, setting up and assessing trials, recording data, conducting data analysis, and delivering results aligned with Biologicals product goals for biofungicides.\r
\r
\t
  • Serve as a biofungicide subject matter expert and project leader.\r
\r
\t
  • Generate and clearly present summaries of technical results.\r
\r
\t
  • Support registered products by executing bioassays to help understand field challenges.\r
\r
\t
  • Advocate for environmental and personal health and safety by adherence to policies and procedures.\r
\r
\t
  • Work in a team environment with other associate researchers, technicians, and scientists.\r
\r

\tQualificationsRequirements:

  • PhD in plant pathology, microbiology, or a closely related major.\r
\r
\t
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous innovation in laboratory research is highly desirable.\r
\r
\t
  • Strong background and experience in biofungicides, including working with a broad range of biochemical and microbial fungicides.\r
\r
\t
  • Experience working with and testing biofungicides crop protection products. Lab and greenhouse research experience with biologicals.\r
\r
\t
  • Knowledge or experience with row/specialty crops and crop protection products.\r
\r
\t
  • Strong aptitude in experimental design, hypothesis-driven problem solving, and good data analysis and interpretation skills.\r
\r
\t
  • Demonstrated track record of scientific innovation.\r
\r
\t
  • Strong project management skills and ownership for delivering high-quality results.\r
\r
\t
  • Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to work across disciplines to achieve project goals.\r
\r
\t
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team environment.\r
\r
\t
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.\r
\r
\t
  • Highly motivated with a desire to work in a laboratory and greenhouse setting.\r
