Sunnova Energy is seeking a Manager of Hedging to lead the development and implementation of our organization's hedging strategy. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Risk and ultimately the Chief Risk Officer, the Manager of Hedging will play a key role in mitigating financial risks and protecting the company's assets and interests.

Responsibilities

  • Hedging Strategy Development and Implementation:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive hedging strategy to manage financial risks associated with energy market volatility, currency fluctuations, interest rate changes, and other relevant factors.
  • Monitor market conditions, assess risk exposures, and execute hedging transactions to minimize adverse impacts on financial performance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, risk management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial risk management, treasury, hedging, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, hedging instruments, and risk management principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing hedging strategies.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess risk exposures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in finance, risk management, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CTP, FRM, PRM, or ARM.
  • Previous experience in the energy industry or related sectors.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
