Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for mothers and newborns.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Act as a patient advocate, addressing concerns and needs in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent.
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Nevada.
- Current BLS certification.
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification within 90 days of hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 90 days of hire.
- AWHONN Fetal monitoring validation within 6 months of hire.
- ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.
- Minimum 1 year recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience, or completion of Labor and Delivery course at Southern Hills Hospital.
Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center is a 260+ bed acute care hospital providing emergency and pediatric emergency services. Our facility offers a behavioral health unit, an accredited Chest Pain Center, a Certified Primary Stroke Center, and a dedicated orthopedic and spine unit.
