Job Description

The Quality Engineer (Electronics) Will:

Analyze performance of processes, products, and components to identify improvement opportunitiesDevelop and manage quality plans tailored to specific customersProvide weekly management reports and analysis on quality data at customer and process levelsOffer technical assistance on product specifications, including labels, quality goals, assembly requirements, and performance criteriaImplement and monitor statistical process controlsEnsure compliance with established ISO internal controlsSupport production processes with quality assurance measuresTrain QA Technicians, Operations, and entry-level Engineers on procedures and systemsAssist operators and technicians in using the shop floor systemManage, analyze, and publish quality performance reports, including process yields, defect/root cause analyses, pareto analyses, and corrective actionsReview quality and product data to ensure specification conformanceGenerate and drive corrective actions on CARsPerform internal quality auditsLead failure analysis on systemic non-conformances and field returns, implementing corrective actionsGenerate process documentation, including procedures, process alerts, deviations, and purgesParticipate in MRB review and disposition processRecommend DFM or DFT analysis for quality improvement and cost reductionFacilitate ECO implementation with analysis, approval, and verificationProvide NPI support to product team, suppliers, and customersUndertake other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business

The Successful Applicant

The Ideal Quality Engineer (Electronics Manufacturing) Has the Following Experience:

Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering5-10 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing setting preferredStrong initiative to investigate production opportunities and identify root causes and preventive actionsKnowledge of statistics and statistical methods requiredProficiency in Word and ExcelPreferred background in medium to high-volume system-level assembly and/or SMT manufacturing environments, including experience with electrical, mechanical, and/or PCA componentsLocal to Chelmsford, MA and able to commute there daily
