We are searching for highly qualified Strategy Consulting candidates, to work broadly across our financial services practices areas and create valuable impact for our clients.
- Corporate & Institutional Banking
We support global investment banks, regional and domestic wholesale banks, market infrastructure and institutional investors with strategic and operational issues including position analysis and growth strategy, client coverage and organization, resourcing, performance and compensation, and risk and portfolio management.
- Retail & Business Banking
We advise top banks, credit institutions, payments companies, and investment firms on serving consumer households and small and medium-sized businesses through product/solutions innovation, distribution strategy development, process review and redesign, and customer retention.
- Wealth & Asset Management
We provide Asset Managers, Wealth Managers, Private Banks, and Asset owners with a deep understanding of and broad expertise in investment management strategy, regulation and governance, and distribution of products and services.
- Insurance
We work with P&C, life, health insurers, distributors, asset managers, PE firms, reinsurers, regulators and Government bodies, carrying out work across the spectrum of insurance industry problems, including overall growth strategies, distribution issues, cost and operational design, finance, M&A and risk measurement / management.
- Finance
We partner with CFOs and their teams at financial institutions to shape their strategy, workforce, operations, and technology improvements and make an organization-wide impact while improving cost efficiency.
- Risk & Public Policy
We help our clients effectively manage the risks arising from their full range of business activities, spanning topics such as risk governance; capital planning and stress testing; core financial risks (e.g. credit, market); emerging risks such as climate risk and cyber risk; and associated methodologies, processes and infrastructure.

FS Affiliate Associates
The Associate position offers excellent career and growth opportunities for talented, highly motivated professionals with significant prior experience. As a professional member of our firm, your initial responsibilities will include:
- Managing the execution of individual project modules. This typically includes developing hypotheses, managing data collection, model creation and analyses, conducting primary and secondary research, creatively tackling information limitations, and surfacing insights.
- Supporting our Partner group in project delivery through accurate and high quality case execution
- Owning and developing executive client relationships, presenting to a wide range of audiences, and working day-to-day with clients and other stakeholders.
- Reporting to Engagement Managers and Principals, effectively seeking guidance on technical and senior-level steer to projects
- Coaching consultants and helping them develop their skill sets
Your Attributes and Experience
Clients hire Oliver Wyman for specialized expertise, the ideal candidate will have most of the following:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Financial Services, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm or with an industry track record of managing teams or work streams and delivering against tight deadlines in fast paced and demanding environments
- In-depth knowledge within Financial Services industry, breadth across or depth within one of our practice areas is preferred
- Undergraduate and/or advanced degree from a top academic program
- Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills
- Outstanding communication skills; confidence in presenting to senior executives
- Proactive initiative, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and put the ones you've already got to good use
- Creativity, ability to come up with novel ideas to solve our clients' biggest problems
- An aptitude for analytical work, like sniffing out clues in massive data sets or hunting down the key issues in a hugely complex problem
- A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our incredibly talented team
- A willingness to travel

The applicable base salary range for this role is $145K - $195K
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
