How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)Oversee the development, design and production of repair, modification, process and inspection documentation in support of Delta's worldwide maintenance activities as a liaison engineerEvaluate and interpret AD, FAR, and Delta policy requirements to ensure compliance in the engineering documentationAid in analyzing and correcting problems which hamper the maintenance support activitiesUnderstand airline operations and pace while providing solutions for a safe aircraft operationPractices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Four-year accredited undergraduate engineering degree (Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical) requiredOn a case-by-case basis, consideration for experience can replace an engineering degreeo Requires working odd hours (midnights) and/or weekends (shift work) based on operational requirementso Strong organizational and time management skillsMust be able to provide support during the scheduled work hours and be on-timeo Must have minimum of 5-yrs of engineering experienceo Problem-solving background with strong analytical skillso Strong verbal and written communication skills including excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of maintenance and engineeringo Adaptable and flexible with the ability to perform and excel in a stressful environment with short deadlineso Travel for AOG aircraft is required (shared events amongst the team); passport holder preferred Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal datao Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styleso Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalencyo Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) Strong background in repair analysis and troubleshootingo Possess the ability to create substantiation reports in support of aircraft airworthinesso Should be able to comprehend and be knowledgeable in FAA regulationso Should possess a thorough understanding of maintenance requirements, processes, and procedureso Working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel) and AutoCAD (Solid Works or similar CAD software)o Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-beingo Previous liaison engineering or MRB experience Line Liaison Engineering o Minimum 5 year of experience providing engineering support for line aircraft and live aircraft operationso At least 3 years of specific experience in the design and analysis of aircraft structural repairs o Systems/electrical engineering experience can be substituted for structural experience for this roleo Previous experience with one or more of the following systems:

pneumatics, hydraulics, air conditioning, landing gear, water/waste, avionics, cabin furnishings o Previous experience with troubleshooting systems o Knowledge in navigating and understanding OEM standard wiring practice manualso Previous experience with OEM wiring drawings.
