Freddie Mac's Corporate Communications & Marketing Internal Communications team helps employees understand and value the mission and business of Freddie Mac. We do it by telling creative and inspiring stories about our company, our people, and the impact of our work. Our internal communications team works in partnership with the many teams across Freddie Mac to bring storytelling to life online and offline to make sure our delivery impresses the clients and the audience.

Your Impact:
  • Strategic advisory, editorial planning, execution: Understand and assess the leadership, strategic and business communications need; lead the design and execution of the editorial strategy and campaigns using corporate channels. Execute on time and on budget, define and measure results.
  • Team leadership, Writing and Content Development: Build an integrated messaging platform for compelling storytelling and campaigns. Lead a team of content writers, partner with the creative teams to ideate, write and refine the message.
  • Partner Relationship Management: Engage key content owners across Freddie Mac and encourage collaborative approach to communicating mission-critical and corporate priorities. Ensure common language, message, Freddie Mac brand consistency across channels and divisions.
  • Special Projects: Lead special projects on behalf of Corporate Communications & Marketing as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university
  • 10+ years of experience in leadership and strategic communications consulting and 2+ years of management experience
  • Strong writing skills
  • Highly knowledgeable of emerging communications trends, user experience and digital tools such as:
  • SharePoint or other CMS
  • Google Analytics, Webtrends or another digital tracking toolset
  • Wrike or other project management/workflow tools
Keys to Success in this Role:
  • Proven ability to serve as a strategic advisor, negotiate, lead content and campaign strategy development
  • Exceptional ability to capture the tone and the message in written communications
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive communications skills
  • Ability to prioritize for yourself and resources and to work under pressure
