PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this opportunity is $27.40-$33.46 per hour. The complete Pay Range spans from $21.25 to $39.57 per hour. At BECU, compensation determinations are based on factors like relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. If an employment offer is extended, individual qualifications will be taken into account. Besides your salary, there are performance-based compensation incentives accessible for the successful candidate. These incentives vary by role and are pegged on performance.

IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE:

As an Associate Financial Advisor at BECU, you will have a crucial role in providing personalized investment services and recommendations to our member clients. Your proactive approach in addressing their financial planning needs, conducting portfolio reviews, and delivering insightful assessments will help guide our clients towards reaching their financial objectives. Your success will be gauged by the trust, confidence, and satisfaction you cultivate with each member by offering strategic insights and tailored solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Partnering for Success: Collaborate closely with Financial Advisor(s) in your designated area to devise and implement investment strategies for referred members and clients from NFC branches.
  • Tailored Financial Planning: Provide personalized financial planning and investment advice, covering IRAs and 529 plans, while ensuring that the suggested solutions align with each member's unique needs and risk tolerance.
  • Business Development and Client Referrals: Engage in targeted business development activities as assigned by management, and when necessary, refer potential clients to BECU Investment Services Advisor for comprehensive support.
  • Service Enhancement and Sales Growth: Foster enduring client relationships by developing and marketing to the existing book of business, elevating service levels, and driving sales.
  • Performance Goals Achievement: Aim to meet sales production goals set by BECU Investment Services management by identifying member needs and proposing suitable solutions.
  • Proactive Member Service and Advocacy: Demonstrate dedication to delivering exceptional member service, conducting regular reviews, and effectively addressing client challenges in line with BECU Investment Services objectives.
  • External Partnerships and Collaboration: Coordinate with mutual fund companies, insurance companies, clearinghouses, and broker/dealers on behalf of clients and prospects to fulfill their unique needs and service requirements.
  • Operational Integrity and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of member/client interactions and trade processes to comply with the regulations of FINRA, Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ), and Insurance Agency (Agency) regulators.
  • Professional Development Support: Offer guidance and assistance to Financial Planner Administrative Assistants or BECU Investment Services staff, sharing valuable resources and facilitating procedural knowledge.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Training: Collaborate with Financial Advisor(s) on monthly branch employee training and education, fostering a mentor-mentee relationship to support mutual growth.
  • Adaptable Role Engagement: Take on additional responsibilities as needed, demonstrating a proactive and versatile approach to support the team's objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent related experience, preferably in business.
  • At least two years of experience in the financial industry, with exposure to customer-facing roles.
  • Holder of Series 7 and Series 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses.

Desired Qualifications

Washington Life, Health, and Disability Insurance License.Industry certifications/designations, such as CFP.Thorough knowledge of all products and services offered by BECU Investment Services, with a general understanding of BECU products.Proficient in PC skills, including familiarity with investment company software.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Strong organizational, telephone, time management, and multitasking skills.Capable of moderate travel by car or public conveyance for client appointments.
