In this highly visible role, the Manager, Accounting will assist the VP, Controller with overseeing accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.
Core Responsibilities:
Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations Prepare and review journal entries Help ensure weekly and month-end close tasks are completed accurately and timely, including supervision of staff Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP to ensure accuracy, comparability, consistency and completeness Identify process improvements to ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy Support the implementation of new accounting, finance and technology systems Supervise the account payable function: ensuring invoices are properly coded, approved timely, posted and reconciled from the aging to the general ledger Supervise and mentor our Accounts Payable Specialists Oversee the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for all entities. Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other relevant accounting standards. Coordinate the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure timely and efficient completion. Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information. Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities. Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, processes, and procedures. Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation in financial operations. Assist with ad-hoc projects as neededQualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA certification preferred. Proven experience as an Accounting Manager for a global Saas company. In-depth knowledge of US GAAP. Strong people leadership skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Solid organizational and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
