Responsibilities
Our twelve-room OR suite maintains a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, which enables us to form close relationships with patients and their families during very difficult times. We also feature a 44-bay multi-level PACU with staff dedicated to trauma and other emergency cases. Our PACU features a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio. Throughout the unit we are committed to using the latest technology, affording staff the opportunity to constantly learn and enhance their skills. As a Level I Trauma Center, we are operational 24/7.
The OR equipment technician will provide excellent service to the patients of the OR Department, the physicians, fellow employees and hospital staff.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares for video cases by having all necessary working equipment. Performs instrument room technician duties as necessary.
- Prepares and sets up case carts. Uses aseptic technique with sterile supplies.
- Opens sterile supplies utilizing sterile technique. Sterilizes appropriate camera, scope and cables in the Steris based on physician preferences.
- Serves as backup for Specialist - Central Supply, maintains and organizes unit supplies and equipment. Assesses the criticality of stock and back-order items and reports them to charge person as necessary.
Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days. This program provides debt relief and student loan assistance to help you achieve your goals. Full-time employees can receive up to $18,000 over five years, while part-time employees can receive up to $9,000.

Minimum:
Experience:
One (1) year experience as a nursing assistant or One (1) year OR experience required. (equivalent medical experience will be considered)
Preferred: Knowledge of sterile technique laser principles video equipment set up
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Licensure:
Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider Card
Pay Range
$ $25.89 /hour
