About the role

We are committed to providing the highest quality infant nutrition products. We are currently seeking a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Evansville plant in ensuring the safety and quality of our products. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and maintaining compliance with food safety standards.

Your responsibilities

Lead the Evansville plant HACCP team in hazard analysis, development of detailed HACCP documentation, and ensuring routine review of HACCP and prerequisite programs as part of the Change Control program.

Support, participate and manage and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other regulatory bodies specific to infant nutrition to ensure Quality Management System follows all regulatory requirements.

Lead cross-functional teams to address quality or safety issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Manage customer complaints related to product quality and safety to implement corrective actions as needed.

Lead the site in reviewing Environmental Monitoring data, identifying trends, and implementing continuous improvement activities to enhance compliance with internal and external food safety standards.

Provide technical guidance to the Quality And Food Safety Engineers, leveraging microbiological data analysis to drive improvements in facility sanitation.

Troubleshoot food safety issues, making rapid decisions in complex situations to prevent potential hazards.

Work with site quality leadership to develop strategies and manage the day-to-day implementation of Facility Hygienic Zoning, Good Manufacturing Practices, and the Environmental Monitoring Programs.

The experience we're looking for
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in food safety, quality or technical management, with a strong preference for experience in the infant formula industry.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, GMPs, and relevant food safety standards.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

US salary ranges

USD $ $151,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
