We are currently seeking a Procurement Specialist at our location in Clayton, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring essential materials for the production and distribution of healthcare products within a regulated environment. Your key tasks will involve establishing productive partnerships, negotiating advantageous contracts, assessing supplier reliability, identifying new supply sources, and acquiring materials to support production.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Devising sourcing and contract negotiation strategies for acquiring goods and services.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop commodity specifications and procurement plans.
- Managing supplier relationships and resolving contract issues.
- Analyzing spending patterns and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Executing contracts and overseeing special projects.
Key Requirements:
- Possessing ERP system knowledge (particularly SAP) and e-Procurement tool experience.
- Demonstrating proficiency in contract management and data analysis.
- Experience in sourcing initiatives and compliance matters.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Effective project management abilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree; MBA/MS degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience.
- CPM or CPSM certifications are desirable.
The position entails working in an office setting with exposure to standard office equipment. While it involves primarily sitting, there is also occasional travel required within the US. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for successful interaction with diverse groups and stakeholders.
