The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description
Location of position is flexible. Compensation will vary based on location.
Under limited supervision, works specifically with a single department providing a link between users and Systems Department. Has thorough understanding of all applications serving department. Conducts analysis of business problems and customer requests for information services. Recommends and implements manual and computer solutions to business problems and opportunities. Solves departmental user problems and confers with users to help determine most appropriate for department needs and objectives. Typically handles support and management of departmental systems including training and implementation. Uses several systems including mainframes, mini, micro and networked and manual systems. Manages projects involving low to medium complexity.
Responsibilities
Performs assigned business analysis tasks which may include: business problem definition, cost/benefit analysis, workflow, process and data analysis, business requirements and specifications writing, test planning, testing, procedure and operational manual writing, training and implementation. Maintains a strong understanding of department operations and assist in developing appropriate systems to create operational effectiveness. Works with agile representatives regarding the design, implementation and maintenance of business operations. Analyzes system changes, enhancements and new programs appropriate for departmental needs and objectives. May deal directly with customers to determine and document business requirements for customized information technology services. Provides assistance, problem solving and consulting to those responsible for resolution of operational and systems support issues. May answer "Help Desk" calls. May partner with Agile teams to support a full range of projects which involve low to medium complexity.
Qualifications

  • Broad knowledge of business operations with the ability to perform staff level duties and applications to create operating effectiveness through automation required; normally acquired through a Bachelors Degree in a non-technical area plus 3-5 years of related work experience
