To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as a Payroll Specialist in our Payroll Department. The primary responsibility of the position is to accurately process pay for employees in compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations. The successful candidate will be able to perform detailed work with accuracy, confidentiality, and promptness. This position will report to the Payroll Supervisor.

Essential Duties:

  • Handle calls from Team Members
  • Communicate with managers and administrative personnel in our various locations
  • Identify trends and system issues
  • Update local taxes for employees who change locations
  • Run pay calculations
  • Create and load payroll input data via Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)

Job Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Proficient computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to perform detailed work with accuracy, confidentiality, and promptness

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Workday HRIS knowledge

Work Environment:

  • Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment
  • Some travel may be required

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds

Employment is contingent upon a clear driving record, 10-year Criminal History Records Check, and drug screen as required. We also require proof of high school or GED completion. Minimum 18 years of age.

Benefit package includes paid training, holiday pay, 401(k), vacation, and family travel on the American Airlines network. Medical and dental available.

Starting Rate:

$40,000.00/Annual Salary
