What You Will Do:

Gannett Fleming is seeking a highly skilled Construction Inspector to join our Boston, MA team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in monitoring and coordinating various contractor activities, including soils, reinforcing steel bars, concrete, masonry, and hot mixed asphalt. Your expertise will contribute to the operational consistency of sampling, testing, and reporting, ensuring compliance with contract documents.

While most projects are based in this region, there may be occasional travel beyond these areas. We will provide the necessary training to equip you with the skills needed for success.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Construction Inspections of contractor activities. Contractors activities include, but may not be limited to, the following:
  • Soils
  • Reinforcing Steel Bars
  • Concrete
  • Masonry
  • Hot Mixed Asphalt (HMA)
  • Coordinating and monitoring of sampling, testing, and reporting activities to provide operational consistency, resolve discrepancies, and meet testing frequency requirements
  • Perform analysis of material test results and review/approval of test reports
  • Review activities for compliance with contract documents
Education | Experience:

Requirements:

  • All levels of experience in Construction Inspections and Construction Materials Testing
  • Clean driving history with own transportation
  • Responsible individual who can work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Possess a positive attitude, demonstrating enthusiasm, resilience, and a proactive approach to work
  • ACI Certification
    • Field Technician
  • NETTCP Certifications preferred
    • Soils and Aggregate Inspector
    • Concrete Technician and/or Concrete Inspector
