We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handling Equipment Technician to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing forklifts and other industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on material handling equipment, including preventive maintenance, oil changes, and electrical repairs.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with forklifts and other industrial equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our Material Handling Equipment (MHE) technician III to ensure seamless maintenance operations.
- Logistics: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including time and materials, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred (2 years)
- Experience: At least four years in industrial equipment maintenance or equivalent experience
- Certifications: Valid state Driver's License with liability coverage; Powered Industrial Equipment Certification within 3 months; MHE 8-hour maintenance tech certificate from an MHE manufacturer
- Physical Demands: Role requires physical tasks including lifting and moving up to 100 pounds
- Environmental Conditions: Role may involve exposure to various environmental conditions and occasional non-traditional hours
