Tufts Medicine has a new Community RN Career Pathway plan that allows you to grow with us, no matter where you are in your nursing journey. Job Summary:
Lowell General Hospital is an outstanding place to work and offers amazing advancement opportunities for our staff. Unit Summary:
The PCU is a 36-bed unit for telemetry, step down, or intermediate level of care. Patients requiring peritoneal and hemodialysis, cardiac catheterizations, pacemakers, internal cardiac defibrillator placement, post-operative monitoring, and interventional radiology may be placed on PCU. Our patients receive continuous cardiac monitoring, and some may also receive continuous oxygen saturation monitoring. Patient can be on high flow oxygen, Bi-pap ventilation, and continuous cardiac Intravenous medications. The nurse patient ratio is less than on the med/surg floors, allowing patients to be more closely monitored.
Hours: 36 hours per week, Evening/Night shifts, every third weekend
Qualifications:
A minimum of 1-2 years in hospital setting is preferred
Current RN licensure in the state of MA in good standing are required
BSN is strongly preferred
Associate's degree in nursing may be considered. Must enroll in BSN within year
BLS required
ACLS preferred
