Unit Overview:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Lowell General is designed to deliver state-of-the-art critical care services.

Patients facing critical health challenges receive continuous monitoring from a team of highly trained and experienced physicians and nurses.

The ICU's innovative layout allows our nursing and physician teams to maintain a comprehensive view of all patients at all times.

Each private room is equipped with advanced technology for ongoing monitoring of vital signs.

Family members visiting patients in the ICU can find comfort in our spacious, sunlit gallery, which serves as a supportive environment for emotional and spiritual connection.

Family visits are welcomed at any time.

Our ICU has been honored with the prestigious BEACON AWARD for EXCELLENCE from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), representing the highest standards in patient care and professional practice.


Work Schedule:
• 36 hours per week, Night Shift
• 3 shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM
• One weekend per month required for float pool staff.

Qualifications:
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an ICU setting is preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Massachusetts in good standing is required.
• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
