About the Role

Yieldstreet is looking for Interns to join our dynamic Tax team, reporting directly to the Tax Manager. We are looking for candidates with a demonstrated interest in Accounting and a proven track record of excellence.

This is a paid opportunity, offering a rate of $20 per hour and is open to Junior, Senior, and Graduate students located in New York. The position will be located in our NYC office, with a requirement for in-office presence three days per week (Tuesday-Thursday). The start date for this role is as soon as possible.

What you'll do:

  • Analyze investor and entity data for accuracy
  • Support tax professional with preparing and reviewing tax returns and financial reports
  • Ensure tax filings & payments are made timely with guidance from our tax professional
  • Assist in responding to tax notices
  • Help maintain spreadsheets and project trackers
  • Plan internal and external meetings
  • Join tax related meetings and assist with preparing tax planning strategies

  • Ability to analyze financial data and understand its tax implications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Very organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfortable seeking guidance as needed
  • Willingness to learn from and contribute to a collaborative work environment
  • Ability to clearly communicate via email and during calls/meetings

What you'll need:

  • Junior or Senior pursuing accounting degree; Graduate student preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office products, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Basic understanding of tax concepts
  • Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate busy seasons
