Description:

  • As an Accounting Manager, you will manage the General Ledger, supervise, monitor, and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities utilizing QuickBooks and Excel
  • This is a very transactional role, this person will be creating and working through the journal entries while also submitting them
  • You will oversee a 3-5 day month-end process, manage Accounts Receivable including invoice creation, balance matching, and aging reports
  • You will also partner during internal and external audits, manage communication with the audit firm, and be responsible for pulling data and reports for tax purposes
  • Additionally, you will maintain, develop, and implement systems for analyzing, verifying, and reporting accurate financial information.
  • Your responsibilities will include meeting accounting financial objectives through forecasting requirements, managing department budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
  • You will assist the Finance team to ensure a timely, efficient, and accurate month-end close and financial reporting through regular GL maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, and fixed asset maintenance
  • You will perform multiple financial cost analysis functions, manage company cash flow, and liaise and support internal and external audit and tax
  • This role is transactional and requires a hands-on approach to not only managing processes but also deeply understanding and executing them

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years progressive Accounting experience
  • High revenue company experience ($1B+)
  • Expert in the General Ledger - experience owning it
  • Familiar with IFRS - International Financial Reporting Standards, this company runs off IFRS not GAAP as parent company is in Japan
  • Come from similar industry - aerospace, construction, engineering, aerospace where dealing with cost accounting
  • Excel - this role is very Excel dependent
  • ERP experience (QuickBooks preferred)
