What's the role?

As the Fleet Lead, you will be leading the fleet function at Curo, building it from the ground up. You will be responsible for our fleet facing Business Development; finding, contracting with and converting commercial fleets to begin parking and charging at Curo Virtual Depots. You will work directly with me (CEO), Gaia (Virtual Depot Lead), Jenn and Bianca (Virtual Depot Associates) to grow Curo, together:

  • You will be responsible for identifying commercial fleets that could leverage Virtual Depots both proactively and reactively as the Virtual Depot network grows and creates geographical focuses:
  • Sourcing new fleet requests both when we’re still building the Virtual Depot network and honing a geographical focus where we already have fleet ready Virtual Depots.
  • Once you’ve identified the fleets, you will conduct outreach, completely bringing fleet partners from 0 to 1 before the launch team is able to deploy them at a Virtual Depot.
  • You will also work on operations including partnerships, sales channels, market segmentation and implementation → we’re building this function from scratch, so please expect a lot of process creation and self-management.
  • You can also expect to work on literally anything that comes up in between, there is no task too big or too small.
  • Interact daily with customers - intently listen and thoughtfully learn how we can continue to solve our partners’ problems.
  • Identify, manage and onboard customers which can range massively from huge corporations to family-run businesses.
  • Grow the fleet function with speed, keeping in mind scalability to lay the ground work for a fleet team in the future.
  • Use your intuition to act quickly by being proactive, learning alongside the team.


Who're we looking for?

  • First and foremost, a background in sales, EVs or fleet whilst beneficial is not a requirement. If you’re a rockstar with grind, hustle and humility then we want to hear from you.
  • With that said, an understanding and/or experience with sales/account management, commercial fleets and the EV charging market is desirable.
  • Prior experience as a founder or on a founding team is a bonus.
  • You need to be comfortable with constant context switching and new tasks - including manual data sourcing, cold calls and emails. Overall, gorilla sales and marketing techniques, we are not looking for the faint of heart.
  • You’re comfortable with a lack of structure and are incredibly motivated to learn by failing to build internal processes and functions from scratch.
  • You are a team player that simply wants to grow, learn and likely sacrifice evenings and weekends at the office to build Curo.
  • You take an empathetic, collaborative approach to creation. We’re obsessed with our customers, their feedback, and experience.
  • You’re super excited to travel, sometimes at a moments notice.
  • You take extreme autonomy and operate with a high level of ownership and pride because you’re deeply self-motivated.

Who's Curo?

We’re a 6 person startup on a mission to accelerate electrification. We’re creating the first “Virtual Depot” platform for fleet vehicles, helping fleets to electrify at a fraction of the cost and time, whilst providing key utilization to existing EV charging and parking asset owners. It’s critical for our planets sustainability to rapidly scale commercial fleet and asset electrification, but it’s easier said than done. Building charging infrastructure as a fleet is expensive, takes a lot of time and in some cases isn’t possible. Additionally, there are now legal requirements for a variety of properties such as office buildings, multi-family dwellings, etc. to offer charging to their customers. Yet, it can be difficult to ensure a return on investment for these assets. To efficiently scale, we need mass visibility, stakeholder management and collaboration → enter Curo.
