Outside Sales Professional

$42,000/year plus commission and mileage

1. Primary and Critical Responsibilities: The Staffing Consultant is responsible for the sales development of an assigned territory. This position requires both prospecting for new customers as well as servicing existing accounts.


a. Customer Service


  • complete customer service calls to ensure satisfaction and develop additional service volume with current customers
  • coordinate large volume account activity within territory


b. Sales and Market Development


  • develop sales and marketing plan in conjunction with the franchise principal based on territory analysis, target account activity data, customer surveys and prospect lists
  • follow recommended time/territory management guidelines
  • prepare required daily/weekly/monthly sales and service reports and analyses using Sales Reporting System
  • monitor service, sales, and pricing efforts of competitors
  • implement changes to the sales and marketing plan in conjunction with the desires and wishes of the Franchise Principal


c. Franchise Support


  • assist with temporary help recruitment
  • assist with credit/collections efforts
  • make recommendations regarding changes to Franchise office operational/administrative policies and procedures
  • adhere to all Franchise policies and procedures
  • assist with employee incident/accident reporting/investigation and job site safety inspections
  • prepare and submit reports as required
  • maintain the Franchise facilities and equipment in a manner acceptable to the Franchise Principal


  • assist with special projects when possible
  • assist with other duties as they become identified


2. Important but Secondary Responsibilities


  • become involved in community activities and organizations
  • improve industry-related technical knowledge and managerial skills through self-study and classroom instruction


B. Qualifications


1. Experience Required: Two years of outside sales experience, preferably selling tangible product to light industrial companies

2. Skills/Education Required: Must be articulate, energetic, personable, and tenacious. Must know the construction environment. Must understand the use of manpower in a construction setting. A high school education is required.
