Responsibilities
- Manage site assets, including building, grounds, utilities, and process/packaging systems.
- Implement maintenance strategy for efficient operations; plan, schedule, and execute predictive, preventative, and breakdown maintenance; manage CMMS.
- Oversee site repair and maintenance budget; track expenditures, order goods/services, issue purchase orders, and manage invoices; lead annual budgeting.
- Recruit, train, and support a team of technicians; schedule shifts, develop skills, provide training, and communicate updates.
- Implement and audit safety programs (GMP, HACCP, process, environmental, and personnel safety).
- Manage projects from start to finish, including scope, budget, schedule, resource management, and documentation.
- Provide guidance in daily operations and asset protection.
- Promote efficient manufacturing as a key participant in cross-functional teams.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Experience
- Knowledge of technical and industry building/grounds and utility infrastructure.
- Experience with utility systems (steam, condensate, water, wastewater, compressed air).
- Familiarity with electrical building systems (power/distribution, lighting, fire alarm, HVAC, plumbing, fire sprinklers).
- Proficient in electrical controls, PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation.
- Experience with maintenance systems.
- Skills in construction, carpentry, light industrial, and janitorial functions.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and PLC programming skills.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints and P&ID diagrams.
- Knowledge of health and safety inspections and OSHA regulations.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Effective management, supervisory, and organizational skills.
