Process Engineer

At a forefront of distributed and specialty electronic components for military, space, medical, and industrial applications, our client provides comprehensive solutions underpinned by reliability and innovation. With over 35 years of experience, this client offers a spectrum of services from die processing to custom packaging and interconnect solutions, ensuring end-to-end support for diverse applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop new processes and identifies and implements changes in product flow to support the production ramp-up of RF Systems products through application of lean manufacturing principles.
- Work with others to implement process improvements and to train operators as needed.
- Participate in weekly Technical Review Board (TRB) meetings for the disposition of discrepant material and determination of root cause/corrective action. Documents customer corrective action requests.
- Defines and specifies the requirement for assembly tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support current manufacturing operations.
- Responsible for the daily upkeep and maintenance of assembly equipment to reduce downtime. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
- Support the implementation of new automation assembly equipment including programming, process qualifications, and supporting tooling design through the tooling group.
- Participate in design reviews for product and process compatibility.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineer, or equivalent, required.
- experience in a microelectronic manufacturing environment required.
- experience with AutoCAD required.
- experience with Statistical Analysis Software required
experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) required.
