HubCAP Community Resource Navigator

Position Summary

The Community Resource Navigator will assist in the delivery of mobile, collaborative, place-based services to individuals living and working within Brown County through a new initiative called the HubCAP (Community Access Partnership). The position will be a crucial connector to help individuals and families who struggle to attain and maintain stability in their education, health, housing, and financial wellbeing. The position is full-time salaried with benefits and reports to the HubCAP Project Coordinator.

 

Qualities and Qualifications

The ideal team member believes in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging for all people; is passionate about improving the quality of life for everyone in Brown County; has the ability to effectively work with a wide variety of individuals and groups; is highly organized, flexible, and can effectively multitask. Familiarity with the social services system in the community.

 

Advantages: Related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification or training. Experience working and engaging with diverse communities and populations. Lived experience finding community services and other resources to meet your needs. Bilingual. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.

 

Key Responsibilities

-       Develop a deeper understanding of and collect real-time information about the unique needs and challenges experienced by Brown County residents.

-       Collaborate with the HubCAP Project Coordinator, other Brown County United Way team members, Brown County United Way’s Advocacy Council, and other multisector partners to help address community members’ needs and barriers to accessing services, resources, and information.

-       Organize week-to-week HubCAP locations, activities, and programming, including some evenings and weekends.

-       Help community members engaging with the HubCAP to obtain the services and supports they need.

-       Be familiar with or be willing to learn about local information and referral resources, including but not limited to 211, Family Services Crisis Center, the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Brown County, and MyConnectionsNEW.org.

-       Participate in Brown County area resource fairs, community coalitions, clinics, and outreach initiatives as assigned.

-       Willingness to attend trainings and obtain certifications funded by the employer as needed.

-       Possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and be able to drive HubCAP vehicles throughout Brown County on a daily basis.

-       Provide backup staff support to the overall organization as needed.

-       Other duties as assigned by the HubCAP Project Coordinator.
