The role of a Project Manager is to play a pivotal role in orchestrating and managing the successful execution of assigned projects. Leveraging your skills honed as a Project Designer and Job Captain, you will provide comprehensive coordination, leadership, and oversight throughout the project lifecycle. With a continued focus on professional growth, you will develop the necessary abilities to handle multiple projects concurrently and manage staff at the Landscape Designer and Job Captain levels.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Coordination: Take charge of overall project coordination, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among team members, clients, and consultants.
  2. Resource Management: Successfully manage and allocate resources to achieve project goals efficiently and within budgetary constraints.
  3. Motivate and Lead: Inspire and motivate team members, fostering a positive work environment that promotes creativity and productivity.
  4. Technical Expertise: Exhibit strong computer skills and a complete understanding of the entire Construction Document Package, including schematic and preliminary drawings, proposal writing, project design development, construction documents, client presentation, and construction observation.
  5. Multitasking: Skillfully manage multiple projects, typically overseeing three or more simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  6. Creative Contribution: Contribute innovative and imaginative ideas to enhance project design, upholding a commitment to excellence and uniqueness in all aspects of each assignment.
  7. Timely Delivery: Ensure project milestones, due dates, and progress schedules are met, overseeing quality control and timely delivery of project deliverables.
  8. Consultant Coordination: Effectively coordinate with external consultants to optimize project outcomes and meet client expectations.
  9. Team Leadership: Delegate tasks and responsibilities to the design team, while providing guidance and mentorship to support their professional development.
  10. Financial Oversight: Be responsible for project billing and design budget tracking, maintaining financial transparency and accountability.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, graphic design, architecture, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of project management experience in landscape architecture or related industry.
  • Proven track record in managing projects from concept through construction.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and mentor project teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools.
  • Familiarity with landscape architecture design principles and construction documentation.
  • Ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Client relationship management experience, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

 

The annual salary for this position is $72,000 per year. We offer a comprehensive benefit plan that includes medical, dental, prescription, life insurance, long‐term disability insurance, Flexible Spending Account, and both a Traditional and Roth 401(k) account. We also provide a generous vacation plan, paid holidays, and half-day Fridays.
