Reporting directly to the VP of Business Development, Sales, and Marketing, this role will be the driving force behind securing roof replacement projects and maintaining lasting relationships with our clients. As the "Face of the Company," you will leverage the resources provided by support teams and materials to meet client needs, secure bids, and establish long-term relationships.


Core Focus:

The core focus of the sales account executive is to cultivate lasting relationships with commercial clients by understanding their roofing and waterproofing needs and by providing them with tailored solutions. You will be responsible for your individual sales goals, contribution to overall construction sales revenue goals the expansion of the company’s client base. Working to achieve those goals, you will be working closely with a dedicated sales coordinator, and other support teams to efficiently manage leads and client requests from pre-qualification to project execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to clients, homeowners associations (HOAs), board members, and other stakeholders or decision makers, both in person and virtually, to articulate the value proposition of Best Roofing’s services.
  • Implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. Work closely with the estimating team and other departments to ensure strategies are aligned with the company’s goals.
  • Conduct follow-up meetings or communications with clients after proposal submissions to address any questions, refine proposals as needed, and move towards securing signed contracts.
  • Provide timely and detailed updates post-appointments to internal teams or support departments, to facilitate effective pipeline management and win sales.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle, ensuring client satisfaction. Assist with resolving any issues or concerns that arise post-sale to maintain positive client relationships.
  • Thoroughly prepare for client meetings, presentations, and contract documentation to ensure successful sales.
  • Collaborate with sales coordinators and BDMs to pre-qualify opportunities, ensuring a fit between client projects and company capabilities.
  • Foster and maintain a productive partnership and open communication with your dedicated sales coordinator, who will serve as your administrative support for proposals, bids, and scheduling.
  • Strategically grow the company’s revenues and client base, ensuring every roof replacement project or client becomes a lifelong client and potential referral source.
  • Prioritize long-term client relationships over short-term sales, supporting company objectives and working alongside Forensic Roof Specialists to take smaller projects and service sales.


How We Measure Success:

  • Achievement of individual, department and company goals for gross margin dollars and the number of contracts secured.
  • Expansion of client base and retention of existing clients, demonstrated through referrals and repeat business.
  • Effective collaboration and communication with the support teams and clients contributing to a cohesive team environment and excellent representation of the Best Roofing brand.


Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a client facing Sales Account Executive or similar role, preferably in a commercial roofing, construction, trade, or related industry.
  • A bachelor’s in business administration, communications, or a related field is preferred. Comparable professional experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish professional level or fluent required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, the ability to foster positive business relationships including public speaking and presentation abilities.
  • A team player with a high ethical standard, willing to meet the demands of the job including but not limited to travel to client meetings in the Tri-County area (Miami Dade, Broward, Palm Beach) and comfortable with heights and willing to climb ladders.
  • Proficient in using technology, CRMs, Microsoft, and other tools daily.
  • Technical proficiency related to commercial roofing, roofing products and/or services preferred.
  • Strong accountability, personal organization, and the ability to manage diverse clients.
