We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Human Resources (HR) team to continue building and creating an engaging environment where employees thrive, collaboration prevails, and performance excels, making WAO Fintech the best place to work Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the HRBP will work cross-functionally to develop, execute and manage various HR frameworks and programs focused on performance management, talent development, culture, employee onboarding/engagement along with various other human resources programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives, fostering a positive work culture, and supporting the overall success of the organization. As an HBRP, you will serve as a trusted advisor to both management and employees, contributing to the development and implementation of HR initiatives that drive employee engagement, talent management, and organizational effectiveness. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work.

What you’ll do:

  • Administer the end-to-end performance management process, including 360 performance reviews, giving and receiving feedback training sessions, post-process data/metrics.
  • Collaborate with managers to ensure performance expectations align with organizational objectives and goals.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Partner with department leaders on long-term development and performance strategies, helping department leaders define expectations and instill accountability.
  • Proactively connecting with managers to understand their teams’ development needs and provide suggestions for continued improvement and advancement.
  • Ad hoc reporting
  • Identify opportunities for process and system enhancements, provide recommendations for improvement and execute.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and processes, ensuring consistency across the organization.
  • Influence business and talent initiatives that support our short and long-term business goals, including driving practices that enable high performance and operational excellence.
  • Perform other projects as required from time to time as assigned.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement new HR processes as required to grow the business.
  • Act as a coach when needed; hold a high bar for leadership values and behaviors.
  • Influence and/or deploy practices to increase employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Assist department leadership with day-to-day HR tasks and ongoing HR projects.


What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required (e.g., Industrial & Labor Relations, Human Resources Management, Human Resources Development, Psychology, Business, etc.) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Human Resources Business Partner with an ability to translate business needs into HR solutions that drive engagement and performance.
  • SHRM or HRCI Certified is a plus.
  • Experience building and executing HR programs (i.e. feedback, performance management, culture surveys)
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company preferred.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and adapting to frequent change with strong problem-solving and decision-making
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, and a track record of taking initiative with excellent project management skills.
  • An effective communicator and natural relationship-builder who can collaborate with and influence a variety of work styles and personalities.
  • Able to easily build credibility with senior leaders.
  • Operates at the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality and personal integrity.
  • A team player who works cross-functionally, acts with a sense of urgency and adapts to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Detailed, organized and communicative and thrives in a multi-tasking, hands-on collaborative environment.
  • Task and goal-oriented, capable of functioning in a corporate setting and a self-motivated team player.
  • Experience with HRIS and adept at data processing.
  • Excellent time management capabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with effective oral and written communication abilities.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • A willingness to roll-up your sleeves and get work done
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
