Community Liaison

The Senior Community Liaison is an intermediary between the health plan community, healthcare providers, and CHME, promoting CHME's products and services through established partnerships while actively cultivating new alliances to elevate the patient care experience. In this role, the Community Liaison engages in daily interactions with clinicians and administrators from health plans, healthcare facilities, clinics, private practices, and non-profit organizations. We are in search of a dedicated and self-driven professional who is eager to contribute to the broader healthcare community as a representative of CHME.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Manage existing business within a territory, as well as market products and services to prospective clients/referral sources – hospitals, clinics, health plans, etc.

·       Responsible for the development of new business in assigned territory

·       Function as a liaison to direct and assist clients/referral sources in operational procedures and protocols.

·       Provide education to the health services community regarding insurance policies/coverage guidelines associated with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) benefits and product information.

·       Attend vendor fairs and other community event opportunities to market to targeted organizations/demographics.

·       Develop educational tools and forms that comply with insurance policies for the healthcare community.

·       Document records of community interactions, feedback, events, and initiatives for reporting and evaluation purposes, including timely delivery of call logs.

·       Manage the Hospital's designated equipment consignment closets to ensure that the necessary minimum and maximum quantities are on and that the closet package was received and processed.

·       Provide recommendations for CHME's existing and new products to customers based on a sound understanding of product specifications and technical expertise.

·       Proactively investigates and resolves customer issues related to orders and deliveries, ensuring a seamless and satisfactory experience for our valued clients.

·       Participates in ongoing education and training.

·       Assist the case management hospital staff with all CHME related issues and questions.

·       Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree required

·       Must have a clinical background, with qualifications and experience in healthcare

·       Passion for the healthcare industry and desire to learn about home medical equipment, supplies, and services landscape.

·       Outstanding communication abilities and strong interpersonal relationship skills, encompassing negotiation and relationship management, with the capacity to meet assigned objectives.

·       Must have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

·       Proven track record of effectively negotiating business agreements and developing business relationships that impact company performance.

·       Ability to manage complex projects and multitask with excellent organizational skills.

·       Adheres to safety and security protocols and guidelines.

·       Must be able to travel within assigned territory and as needed for events.

·       Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.

·       This role requires completing the registration process with the relevant Vendor entities, such as GHX, Simplier, or Vendormate, to gain hospital access.


This is a full-time on-site position working in our Foster City Headquarters.


Salary Range

$72,000/yr - $87,000/yr
