Job Summary: The Audio Visual Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio and visual equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background in AV technologies, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring top-notch performance of AV systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain systems, including touch panels, processors, and related equipment.
  • Technical Support: Provide on-site technical support for AV systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues with Crestron systems, audio, video, and integrated technologies.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to integrate AV systems with other technologies and ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure.
  • Maintenance & Upgrades: Perform regular maintenance and updates on AV systems, including firmware updates and hardware upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and equipment inventories.
  • Training & Support: Train staff on the use of AV systems and provide ongoing support to ensure effective use of technology.
  • Project Management: Assist in planning and executing AV-related projects, including system upgrades, relocations, and new installations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Hands-on experience with Crestron systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Crestron control systems, including programming and configuration. Familiarity with other AV technologies, such as video conferencing, projection systems, and audio equipment.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical information to non-technical users in a clear and concise manner.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in system configuration, documentation, and maintenance.
