Executive Director Business Development

Job Description:
We're thrilled to announce a compelling opportunity for an Executive Director to join our dynamic Business Development Team. As a key contributor, you'll play a pivotal role in steering strategic partnerships and corporate strategy initiatives. This position entails supporting senior management decision-making through activities such as screening products, evaluating companies and therapeutic areas, and facilitating development, licensing, and M&A endeavors.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screening of products, companies, and therapeutic areas to support strategic initiatives.
- Lead due diligence processes for licensing opportunities.
- Conduct product/market financial modeling.
- Develop and coordinate market research activities.
- Prepare in-and out-licensing packages.
- Lead or support negotiation efforts.
- Review contracts and provide essential support for corporate strategy elucidation.
- Foster internal cross-functional communication.
Requirements:
- Education & Experience:
- Master of Business Administration or graduate degree in life sciences.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, licensing, or strategic analysis within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or relevant consulting/investment banking roles.
- Knowledge/Skills:
- Proficient in financial evaluation techniques, including forecasting, pro-forma product P&L modeling, cost analysis, and probability-adjusted NPV.
- Strong analytical, communication, project management, and project leadership skills.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative market research techniques is preferred.
- Additional Skills and Attributes:
- Familiarity with databases such as IMS, Encuity SDI, Adis, etc. is advantageous.
- Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable interacting with senior management both within the organization and external partners.
