CATUG is a novel contract service provider in mRNA therapeutics and formulations driven by focus, quality, speed and flexibility. We provide contract research, development, analytical and GMP manufacturing services ranging from plasmid DNA, mRNA, lipid nanoparticle (LNP), and analytical quality control (QC). Our strong technical platforms, expertise and know-how aim to present end-to-end solutions to our clients in the whole life cycle of nucleic acid drug development. Role Description
The Director of Business Development is a full-time hybrid role located in Cambridge, MA, with flexibility for remote work. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for US BD team build up and day-to-day tasks such as developing and executing strategies for new business development, lead generation, contract negotiation, and account management. The Director of Business Development will work closely with cross-functional teams to create and implement business plans that drive growth and profitability. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with a proven track record in sales and business development for the pharmaceutical/biotech/CRO/CDMO industry, with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical engineering, Bioengineering, Material science or a related STEM field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in sales and business development roles with demonstrated success in generating new business opportunities, ideally within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
- Experience in contract research organizations (CROs), contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), or related industries within the mRNA or GCT field preferred
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- A strong business acumen and ability to identify and evaluate market trends, as well as understand customer needs and requirements
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
