JOB SUMMARY FOR QUALITY ENGINEER:


  • US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD HOLDER ONLY
  • Onsite minimum 2 days a week. 8am-5pm
  • The candidate is responsible for assuring accessory suppliers have established and maintained quality systems, and that they can supply products that meet quality standards.
  • Travel: Approximately 25% travel
  • Pay Range: $38 - $44 based on experience level



RESPONSIBILITIES FOR QUALITY ENGINEER:


  • The engineer is responsible for pre-launch parts and process validation using the accessory program structure.
  • The position requires a proactive self-starter capable of setting priority and action plans for post-launch incident investigations as well as conducting technical engineering investigations to identify the need for design or manufacturing countermeasure action.
  • The Accessory Quality team contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth per launch - confirming the quality of the parts on the vehicle before the final stages.
  • Responsible for clearing the claims and working with suppliers to fix quality issues.



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR QUALITY ENGINEER:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering discipline is required- Mechanical or industrial engineering preferred.
  • 2-5 years experience



SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR QUALITY ENGINEER:


  • Advanced knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, and other Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Excel skills, creating pivot tables and vlook ups etc.-applications.
  • Parts quality and manufacturing experience with supplier validation and APQP knowledge.
  • Data analysis of warranty and claims performed in Excel and creating a presentation of results found including a summary.
  • Excellent communication skills, working with cross-functional teams and suppliers on warranty and claims
