As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the Project Manager and various stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of construction processes.


Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise during construction.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and change orders.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing project documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  1. Cost Control and Budget Management:
  • Support budget management activities, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Review and approve invoices and ensure payments are processed in a timely manner.
  1. Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure construction activities comply with company standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct quality inspections and address any quality concerns promptly.
  1. Team Collaboration and Leadership:
  • Collaborate with the project team to resolve conflicts, solve problems, and make decisions that benefit the project.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to on-site personnel and subcontractors.
  1. Client Relations:
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Address client concerns and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager or similar role in commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
