The Role

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for the financial performance reporting of large projects/programs including the client's ERP rollout, which contains an SAP S4 HANA implementation, and will be responsible for collaborating with Program Leadership, Program Staff, and organizational Subject Matter Experts to ensure accuracy and timely reports. The suitable candidate will have a strong attention to detail, communication skills to efficiently portray trends and analysis, and effective presentation abilities.


Specific Job Responsibilities:

Act as a financial advisor to Program Management. Assist in the preparation for the monthly project reviews, and proactively participate in meeting discussions to identify, communicate, and address financial issues.

• Compile, analyze, and update project/program financial information using computer tools such as business intelligence or spreadsheets to prepare entries to the general ledger accounts and document business transactions.

• Analyze, audit, and work with the Accounting department to reclassify costs for all necessary transactions.

• Own the preparation of project accounting reports and analysis for management.

• Review financial statements with management to discuss project/program goals and direction

• Partner with other Program, Finance and Accounting staff members to develop and implement process improvements

• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues into actionable solutions.

• Shows confidence, good judgment, energy and personality to work in a dynamic, global environment across all levels of management and across business units and functions.

• Encourages a highly collaborative team environment and actively engages with all major internal stakeholders.

• Will define goals and priorities within own area of responsibility ensuring that attention is brought to the most important projects or tasks.

Qualifications:

BS in Accounting, Finance, Business or other related discipline

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Accounting and/or Operational Finance with demonstrated analytical skills. Experience in a Manufacturing environment is preferred.

• Outstanding written communication skills and knowledge of effective program communication through various mediums.

• Proficiency in process modeling and analysis using tools such as O365.

• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (“ERP”) systems.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Ability to efficiently analyze large datasets.
