Administrative Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking organized, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Part-Time Administrative Assistants / Accounting Clerks. These positions involve a combination of administrative and accounting duties to support various departments within the municipal government. Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills, basic accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, managing emails, and maintaining office supplies.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records.
- Support the preparation and processing of financial documents, including invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
- Help with the reconciliation of accounts and other basic accounting tasks.
- Schedule meetings, coordinate calendars, and prepare meeting materials as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Work Schedule:
- Part-time positions with flexible hours.
- Availability to work on a consistent schedule is required.
