Role: Business Analyst (Capital Market Domain)

Work Location: Quincy, MA (Onsite)


Job Description:

• 8-10 years of experience in Business Analysis - Gathering business/system requirements, preparing Data Mapping Documents, Functional Specification Documents, Use Case documents, Reviewing Test Cases, Coordinating User Acceptance Testing Efforts, Conduct meetings with Business and IT teams etc. Should Posses Technical & Functional Analysis capabilities. Should be strong in communication and analytical skills.

• Researching and gathering business/system requirements through the facilitation of meetings with end users.

• Analyzing current processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities and solutions.

• Business Data Analysis for requirements and business queries using SQL Queries & SQL tools.

• Decomposing abstract and complex details/concepts into business and functional requirements that can be understood by the stakeholders (i.e. end users, developers, testers, etc.)

• Developing conceptual modeling and process workflows to illustrate current and future states

• Developing detailed business and functional requirement documents

• Communicating (verbal and written) project details and concepts to various audiences

• Preparing end user documentation and facilitating end user training

• Reviewing Test Cases and providing feedback/approval, coordinating testing efforts

• Defining the business deployment strategy and facilitating the business deployments

• Leading the end-to-end SDLC. Includes participating and directing as needed the entire project from initiation to implementation to ensure business objectives are met - this includes actively participating in technical design and architecture reviews and test case reviews, etc.

Required skills:

• Business Analysis in Capital market domain is must, collateral management is a plus.

• Basic Domain Knowledge in Investment Banking/Finance Industry is a must

• Experience writing SQL Queries and using SQL tools is a must, exposure to various data analytical functions.

• Understanding of Database Management Systems is a must

• Working Knowledge of ETL Concepts and Tools is must

• Agile experience is a must


Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in Securities lending, Repo trading is preferred

• Understanding of Securities Market Reference data and Asset Classes is preferred

• Knowledge of depositories, custodians, counterparties is preferred

• Knowledge/experience with Bigdata Technologies, AWS, Databricks is a plus

• Advanced MS Office Skills is a plus

• Project Management knowledge is a plus

• Certifications in Business Analysis/Project Management is a Plus

• Knowledge/experience/certifications on UX/UI Design is a plus
