Position Overview: In this newly created role, the Transportation Assistant will ensure that all Motor Carrier and Broker vendors meet company qualification standards. Key responsibilities include reviewing documents, processing user requests, and updating records to support the company’s business operations with Motor Carriers and Brokers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and process Motor Carrier/Broker qualification packages and support operating companies with submissions.
- Upload, maintain, and update contracts, insurance certificates, and other documents in the company database.
- Verify contracts, insurance certificates, and safety ratings with Motor Carriers and Brokers.
- Update carrier information for the FCTG truck database and address any discrepancies with IT.
- Assist with claims, contracts, and transportation-related inquiries, while staying informed on industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in trucking dispatch, brokerage, or a related field.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of contracts and technical terms.
- Experience with databases, including data entry and basic reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone, email, and formal correspondence.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage daily tasks and adjust priorities as needed.
