Job Description

">

We are seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely delivering grocery and perishable products to company stores as scheduled and transporting backhauls to distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • ">
  • Safely operate tractor-trailer while maintaining company driving performance standards">
  • Assist in unloading deliveries at stores">
  • Follow proper pre-trip procedures as required by DOT regulation 392.7">
  • Maintain and follow all proper delivery and pick up paperwork and procedures">
  • Maintain all D.O.T. paperwork and qualifications">
  • Verify proper operating condition of equipment used">
  • Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency and productivity, and reduce costs">
  • Ensure compliance with Delhaize America standards in areas of accuracy, safety, and productivity">
  • Other duties as assigned">

Qualifications

">

To qualify for this position, you must have:

">
  • ">
  • A Class A Commercial Driver's License">
  • At least 21 years of age">
  • A minimum of 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience or equivalent of 100,000 miles">
  • No more than one moving violation against your driving record in last 3-year rolling period">
  • Knowledge of DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations along with Transportation Logistics">
  • Possess good communication, verbal, and written skills">
  • Ability to pass and meet all requirements for D.O.T. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations handbook and D.O.T. physical and drug screen">
  • Previous tractor-trailer driving experience preferred">

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent lifting, bending, stooping, and reaching up to 70 lbs.

Preferred Requirements

We prefer candidates with excellent driving skills and previous experience in transportation management.
