Business Development Representative

Position Overview:
To support our growth and strategic objectives, we’re seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales of cloud software solutions, ideally within the supply chain sector, and familiarity with Kinaxis Rapid Response. This individual will play a key role in converting qualified leads into revenue and expanding our market presence in North America, ideally from Northeast Ohio. You will partner closely with our Account Executive and CEO to identify and secure new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities:
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities.
- Work with Kinaxis BDR resources to support prospecting and opportunity development.
- Contact potential clients through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other communication methods.
- Present initial Scott Sheldon and Kinaxis information to potential clients.
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services.
- Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction.
- Aggressively prospect for leads to drive top-of-the-pipeline volume.
- Provide feedback to Scott Sheldon's sales and marketing resources to optimize messaging, prospect lists, and key metrics.
- Collaborate with the Account Executive and CEO to develop and execute business development strategies.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our service offerings to effectively communicate value propositions to prospective clients.
- Stay updated with industry trends, challenges, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
- Prepare and present proposals, pitches, and presentations to critical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or client acquisition in a consulting environment, ideally within the supply chain or logistics sector.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and consulting services.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to travel to client meetings and industry events as required.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed targets for outbound activities, scheduled meetings, and other key sales metrics.
- Experience in developing target lists and improving data sets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Extra credit if you're proficient with modern sales tools like HubSpot, Apollo.io, LinkedIn Sales, and Navigator.
