JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to support one of our Renewable Energy companies. This position will be responsible for leading all phases of the project from planning through execution and close out. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and commercial experience with power generation systems as well as a strong understanding of project management, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead all phases of the project from planning through execution and closeout.

Ensure project success by meeting standards, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, configuration management, and integration.

Provide leadership, oversight, management, delegation, and coordination to various internal and external organizations supporting the project.

Communicate with all project stakeholders, leading all project-related meetings such as monthly project reviews, kick-offs, status meetings, and design reviews.

Create and submit required project documentation, including status reports, approval white papers, financial requests, change requests, project plans, scope documents, requests for proposals, and lessons learned.

Estimate and budget current and future project finances and schedules.

Manage all matrixed members of the project team daily, interfacing with functional managers to determine resource needs, placement, development, and conflict resolution.

Understand license and regulatory requirements that projects may impact and lead required permit or deviation obtainment.

Coordinate with supply chain for bidding and awarding engineering, equipment manufacturing, and construction labor.

Lead project construction to ensure adherence to safety, environmental, quality, and schedule requirements.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

12+ years of operations, engineering, or project management experience at a power generation facility.

BSEE, BSME, or related practical experience.

Registered Professional Engineer.

PMP Certification.

Engineering or project management experience related to electrical power (balance of plant) or controls experience in the power generation industry or balance of plant mechanical experience.

Experience at a hydro plant or working over or near water.

Demonstrated understanding of stringent environmental requirements.

Team player with strong attention to detail.

Excellent time management skills to handle multiple simultaneous projects and competing priorities.
